Galilee Chapel (Lady Chapel) 1153-1195, west end of cathedral

north and south columns in each free-standing cluster 12th century
east and west columns in each cluster added under Bishop Thomas Langley (1406-1437)
south windows 14th century, west windows 1430s
north portal doorway cut under existing arch 1430s; north wall rebuilt 1866
wooden ceiling early 19th century
