church of Saint Mary, Marienkirche
original construction late eleventh century
south wall western part survives from fourteenth-century structure
choir widened on south side, part of nuns' choir absorbed, and self supported wooden ceiling 1701-1705
galleries shortened 1955-56; renovated 2010
The nuns' gallery allowed members of the convent to observe Mass.
